Beauty Counter MD/New Products
DIY freckles are one of the latest TikTok trends patients are trying. But are the henna-based products TikTokkers are recommending safe?
Not really, according to Jeanine B. Downie, MD, FAAD, director of image Dermatology PC in Montclair, NJ. “We don’t know the quality of the henna,” she says. “And some of my patients who have tried this have broken out…with acne. And it did flare eczema in a patient of mine.”

Eye Revive, Daily Practice by Ashely Brissette, MD

Daily Practice, the new eye care line by Ashley Brissette, MD, has launched with a hero product—Eye Revive. Having worked as an ophthalmologist for six years, New York City-based Dr. Brissette says she recognized a growing trend of eye irritation, sensitivity and dry eyes, as well as a lack of education among her patients on how to properly care for their eyes. Her patients also wanted products that would make their eyes whiter, brighter, and more refreshed. In response, she created Daily Practice, a holistic eye-focused skincare brand, launching with Eye Revive: a three-in-one hero product that cleanses, removes makeup, and hydrates around the eyes. It is forumated for any skin type and people of all ages and genders. It soothes and protects against eye redness, irritation, and fine lines. Used twice daily, it keeps eyes healthy, refreshed, and bright. dailypractice.com
