HA Intensifier Multi-Glycan Serum Raises the Bar
Corrective Serum Backed by Science and Powerful, Clinically Tested Results

Modernized formula with Multi-Glycan Technology to complement dermal filler injections
Skinceuticals’ original HA Intensifier set the bar for improving the appearance of firmness and facial plumpness. Now, the bar has been raised with the latest modernized ingredient technology of their corrective serum—HA Intensifier Multi-Glycan—a multi-dimensional volumizing serum that visibly plumps and fills fine lines.1
HA Intensifier Multi-Glycan utilizes a triple formula that starts with 1.3% hyaluronic acid (HA) for surface plumping and smoothing. The formula features three types of HA: 0.2% high molecular weight, 1% low molecular weight, and 0.1% acetylated. The high molecular weight HA serves as a humectant to provide surface hydration, while the low molecular weight HA maintains water-binding abilities and improves skin texture. Full acetylation, meanwhile, is a new feature that optimizes bioavailability, allowing for deeper skin penetration.
The technology also includes 2% dipotassium glycyrrhizate and 0.2% purple rice extract, a synergistic combination that decreases HA degradation by inhibiting the hyaluronidase enzyme.
Finally, the formula utilizes 12% Proxylane™ and 2% post-biotic ferment to stimulate multi-glycan production to support structural volume. This new formula has an increased amount of Proxylane™, which is a L’Oreal-developed ingredient derived from beechwood that stimulates HA, chondroitin sulfate, and dermatan sulfate glycans to help maintain hydration and structural integrity of skin. The new Lactobacillus/soybean ferment extract, meanwhile, stimulates production of additional structural-volumizing glycans, including chondroitin sulfate and heparan sulfate.2
The combination of all these factors leads to a fresher and lighter feel. Effective corrective results can be achieved for all skin types and tones, as evidenced by a 12-week clinical study with more than 80 diverse subjects (Fitzpatrick I-VI), of whom 90% saw an improvement in skin smoothness, softness, and plumpness.1 Furthermore, a 12-week consumer study with more than 70 diverse subjects (Fitzpatrick I-VI) found that 90% were satisfied with the product experience.1
In addition to monotherapy use, this modernized formula is physician-tested and complements in-office dermal filler procedures.

What exciting formula technology makes the new HA Intensifier Multi-Glycan such an effective addition to your skincare portfolio?
DiAnne Davis, MD, FAAD: The HA Intensifier Multi-Glycan serum is a multi-dimensional volumizing product that contains a high concentration of pure hyaluronic acid to provide surface plumping and smoothing of the skin, in addition to an increased amount of Proxylane™ that stimulates the internal production of hyaluronic acid to provide additional structural support and integrity of the skin. There is also 2% Lactobacillus/soybean ferment extract, which is a new post-biotic ingredient that stimulates glycosaminoglycans and proteoglycans to improve the skin matrix integrity and visibly fill in fine lines. Purple rice extract is also incorporated to inhibit the production of hyaluronidase, which is the enzyme that breaks down hyaluronic acid in the skin.
What powerful results excite you about HA Intensifier Multi-Glycan?
Dr. Davis: The fact that you immediately have 10% improved plumpness, 10% increased radiance, and 24-hour boosted skin hydration, as the 12-week clinical study found,1 is what we all want. Who would turn down immediate results? And after 12 weeks of consistent use, subjects saw 7.7% global facial lifting with just a topical product as well as a 24% reduction in the appearance of fine lines and 14% fewer marionette lines.1 Overall, this new formula outperformed the original HA Intensifier, with robust sensory testing among subjects and clinical testing with injectable procedures to show that Skinceuticals continues to produce advanced skincare backed by science.

Which patients do you see can benefit most from using this product?
Dr. Davis: Any patient who wants to visibly plump their skin and improve the radiance via increased hydration without needing to be poked with a needle can benefit from this product—especially those who have noticeable volume loss and fine lines and wrinkles at rest.
How does the extensive clinical and diverse testing behind this product resonate with you in practice?
Dr. Davis: As a black dermatologist who sees patients of all skin tones and colors, knowing that Skinceuticals did a 12-week study with 81 subjects of all Fitzpatrick skin types resonates with me the most.
Can you discuss any benefits of pairing HA Intensifier Multi-Glycan with in-office procedures such as hyaluronic acid dermal fillers for your patients?
Dr. Davis: Hyaluronic acid dermal fillers serve the purpose to increase facial volume for a more youthful and rejuvenated appearance. Integrating HA Intensifier Multi-Glycan into in-office procedures is being tested to evaluate its effects while using HA fillers and to improve skin quality attributes and facial contours.1
