Rohrer Aesthetics has released new clinical findings on its latest treatment platform, PIX:E, in a study recently featured by NewBeauty. The results suggest that PIX:E may offer a new paradigm in aesthetic care—shifting the focus from reactive treatment to preventative skin health.

STUDY RESULTS SHOW BROAD EFFICACY
The 20-patient study showed promising results: 91% of participants experienced improvements in skin tone and texture. The treatment demonstrated universal tolerability, including sensitive and deeper skin tones—an important factor in expanding access to high-efficacy procedures.

Designed to intervene before aging becomes visible, PIX:E promotes the natural production of Type I collagen offering long-term benefits and reduced treatment frequency over time.

COMBINING TWO GOLD-STANDARD TECHNOLOGIES
Developed to streamline in-office protocols, PIX:E integrates radiofrequency microneedling—the industry’s only FDA-cleared 4MHz system—with both fractional and full-field Er:YAG laser resurfacing. This combination allows providers to treat both superficial and deep skin layers in a single session, promoting collagen production and visible skin rejuvenation.

Dr. Alan Durkin, a board-certified plastic surgeon who led the clinical study, said in a press release, the platform “seamlessly combines two gold-standard collagen-induction technologies” into a single, efficient protocol. He emphasized the shift from addressing aging after it appears to proactively support the skin’s regenerative processes.

STREAMLINED FOR PROVIDERS, EFFECTIVE FOR PATIENTS
According to Rohrer Aesthetics, PIX:E addresses multiple skin concerns including laxity, uneven tone, enlarged pores, sun damage, acne scars, stretch marks, and hypertrophic scars. Its dual-modality platform reduces the need for multiple devices or sessions, making it both time-efficient for providers and convenient for patients.

“This represents a shift toward truly proactive care,” said Liz Smith, Chief Marketing Officer at Rohrer Aesthetics. “With PIX:E, we’re giving people a way to stay ahead of the aging process and maintain healthy skin with fewer treatments and faster results.”
