10/14/2024

A grant opportunity is now available for plastic surgeons who are pursuing research in aesthetic and cosmetic plastic surgery.

The Plastic Surgery Foundation opened applications for its Aesthetic Plastic Surgery Research Grant on Monday.

The goals of the research may range from pilot projects to collect preliminary data to support larger future grant proposals, up to more advanced research questions that may lead to findings and results to have a more immediate impact on patient care.

The Plastic Surgery Foundation encourages new research concepts and novel ideas. Examples of subject areas include breast augmentation, liposuction, nose reshaping, eyelid surgery, tummy tuck, and facelift.

Grants up to $25,000 will be awarded and the deadline to apply is December 2.

To be eligible, applicants must be a MD, DO, or PhD; hold a full or part-time clinical or research position where the research will be conducted; and be an active, candidate, international, or associate member of ASPS or obtain sponsorships from an active ASPS member at their institution.
