Noninvasive Brain Stimulation for Mental Wellness Coming to Illinois Dermatology Clinic

An Illinois dermatology clinic is now offering a noninvasive brain stimulation treatmentfor patients experiencing depression, anxiety, and related mental health concerns. Dundee Dermatology recently introduced EXOMIND, a transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) device that is FDA-cleared for the treatment of depression.
EXOMIND delivers targeted magnetic pulses to specific regions of the brain implicated in mood regulation, cognition, and behavioral control. Treatments are brief—approximately 30 minutes—and are recommended twice weekly over a three-week period. The procedure requires no medication or sedation, and patients can resume normal activity immediately following sessions.
"One in five adults has mental health issues ranging from sleeping disorders to depression," founder and medical director of the clinic Paul Getz, MD, said. "That's why we are thrilled to be able to offer EXOMIND, an FDA-cleared treatment for depression that restores healthy neural activity and helps to revive the skin."
Although clinical data were not detailed in the announcement, reported benefits include improved sleep, reduced anxiety, fewer obsessive thoughts, and enhanced energy. Anecdotal feedback also points to reductions in food cravings and modest weight loss after several sessions.
Dundee Dermatology will host a public demonstration of the EXOMIND device on Monday, August 25, from 10 AM to 1 PM at its location in West Dundee, Illinois. Anyone interested can RSVP at 847-851-8888.
