New Collaboration Enhances Precision and Patient Engagement in Post-Weight-Loss Treatments
MNML Aesthetics announced a partnership with ShapeScale to integrate 3D body imaging into its MNML Tone Method, a multi-modality body contouring protocol. The collaboration aims to enhance clinical precision and patient engagement in aesthetic practices, particularly in post-weight-loss body transformation.
The MNML Tone Method was introduced at the Medical Spa Show 2025 (AmSpa). It’s a four-in-one treatment approach that combines radiofrequency (RF), electrical muscle stimulation (EMS), vacuum therapy, and cooling. MNML Aesthetics said in a press release the technology was designed in response to increasing demand from patients undergoing weight loss with medications such as semaglutides; the method targets fat reduction, muscle toning, skin tightening, and circulation improvement in a single protocol.
ShapeScale’s 3D imaging technology uses artificial intelligence to deliver photorealistic body scans in under 1 minute. The system captures detailed body composition data—including fat percentage, lean muscle mass, and circumferential measurements—allowing clinicians to track and visualize treatment progress over time. The company explained in a press release that the technology’s compact, plug-and-play setup is designed to be installed in under 15 minutes and reportedly can lead to a 15% to 20% increase in treatment adherence.
"The integration of ShapeScale's 3D scanning and dynamic heatmap technology with MNML Tone marks a new era in intelligent body contouring. Each of MNML Tone's eight paddles operates on its own channel, allowing individualized control of RF, EMS, and vacuum—and ShapeScale gives providers the roadmap to optimize each one," said Austin Podowski, CEO of MNML Aesthetics. "Just as ultrasound mapping is now standard before facial RF or HIFU treatments, the ShapeScale heatmap helps identify and prioritize stubborn fat zones, enabling precision-based adjustments for maximum efficacy. It's personalized body contouring, backed by data, and designed for results patients can actually see."
The technology offers additional workflow benefits, including facial recognition for automatic patient identification and high-resolution 3D avatars that visually represent treatment areas. These features are intended to help patients see objective, measurable progress, supporting both clinical outcomes and patient motivation.
The partnership will be showcased at The Aesthetic Show in Las Vegas from June 27 to 29.
