Galderma Launches Restorative Eye Complex with TriHex+ Proprietary Technology
Key Takeaways
Galderma has launched an updated ALASTIN Restorative Eye Complex featuring TriHex+ technology, formulated to address visible aging across the upper eyelids, under-eye area, and crow's feet.
In a 29-patient clinical evaluation, investigator reported statistically significant improvements in crow's feet fine lines (30.13%), under-eye puffiness (33.63%), and upper-eyelid fine lines (21.62%) at 12 weeks.
The updated formulation combines TriHex Technology with Octapeptide-45 and additional ingredients designed to support skin hydration, firmness, and elasticity.

Galderma announced the US launch of ALASTIN Restorative Eye Complex with TriHex+, an updated topical formulation designed to address visible signs of aging across the upper eyelids, under-eye area, and crow's feet.
The product incorporates the company's TriHex+ platform, combining its established TriHex Technology with proprietary Octapeptide-45. According to Galderma, the formulation supports natural collagen and elastin production and the skin's ability to generate high-molecular-weight hyaluronic acid, with the goal of improving hydration and visible skin firmness.¹
Additional ingredients include acetyl tetrapeptide-2 and a proprietary dill and blackberry blend intended to support skin elasticity, firmness, and dermal-epidermal junction integrity.
Clinical Evaluation Shows Improvements Across the Eye Area
Galderma reported findings from a clinical evaluation involving 29 participants aged 35 to 70 years with moderate-to-severe signs of periorbital aging. Investigators assessed the upper eyelids, lower eyelids, and crow's feet separately using clinical grading, photography, participant self-assessments, and measurements of hydration and elasticity.¹
At Week 12, investigator grading demonstrated improvements of 30.13% in crow's feet fine lines, 33.63% in under-eye puffiness, and 21.62% in upper-eyelid fine lines (P < .0001 for all comparisons).
The company did not provide information about a control group, adverse events, or longer-term outcomes in its announcement. The small sample size and limited methodological details restrict interpretation of the findings.
"Our work has always focused on amplifying the skin's natural ability to regenerate itself, rather than simply covering up the signs of aging," said Alan D. Widgerow, MBBCh, Galderma's chief scientific officer.¹
The launch expands ALASTIN's TriHex+ portfolio, which also includes Regenerating Skin Nectar and Restorative Skin Complex.
