Epicutis Introduces Skin Barrier Support Mist with Microbiome Focus

Epicutis has announced the release of Hydrobiome Mist, a skin care product formulated to support skin barrier function and microbiome balance. 

The mist is intended to hydrate, protect against environmental stressors, and maintain microbial harmony, according to the manufacturer, and designed for use throughout the day.

According to a news release, the product combines postbiotic, prebiotic, and antioxidant ingredients, including lactobacillus ferment, maltodextrin, and glucosylrutin. Key actives include a proprietary antioxidant, activated grape seed extract (AGSE), which the company states offers higher antioxidant potential than vitamins C and E.

Epicutis describes the formulation as free of potentially irritating or toxic ingredients, positioning the mist as a safe option for use near sensitive areas such as the eyes and mouth.
