Dr. Luis Macias to Present the Deep Plane Facelift at the Aesthetic Cruise 2024

07/08/2024

Facial rejuvenation specialist Luis Macias, MD, will speak about the deep plane facelift technique at the Aesthetic Cruise on July 20.

Macias is a facial plastic surgeon based in Marina del Rey, California who specializes in natural results. The technique that Macias has “perfected” is a significant advancement in facial rejuvenation surgery, according to a press release.

Unlike traditional methods, the deep plane facelift targets the underlying structures of the face, such as the deeper muscular layers and fat pads, lifting the face vertically. This approach allows for a more natural and long-lasting result and is said to effectively reverse the signs of aging by repositioning the facial tissues to their youthful state.

“The composite extended deep plane facelift technique offers a revolutionary way to address facial aging,” Macias said. “By leaving the skin attached to the deeper structures and focusing on releasing and repositioning those structures down to the neck, we can achieve more comprehensive and enduring results. This method not only improves the appearance of the skin but also enhances the overall facial contour and harmony.”

The Aesthetic Cruise 2024 will feature an impressive lineup of speakers.

“Being part of the Aesthetic Cruise for the fourth year is a tremendous honor,” Macias said. “It’s an incredible platform to share knowledge, connect with colleagues, and contribute to the ongoing evolution of our field.”

Macias is double board-certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and the American Board of Surgery, as well as an active member of the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS.) An alumnus of the UCLA School of Medicine, Dr. Macias is the Director of the Aesthetic Surgery Program at the Keck School of Medicine, Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at USC. In this role, he trains plastic surgery residents in the USC Plastic Surgery Residency Program and cosmetic surgery fellows in the ASAPS-endorsed Aesthetic Surgery Fellowship of Los Angeles.
