BTL Industries has launched a nationwide initiative aimed at addressing the mental and physical health challenges faced by firefighters, particularly those serving in high-risk wildfire regions.

The program is framed under BTL’s Heros Deserve Healing campaign, which calls on clinicians and community leaders to expand awareness of resources available to firefighters.

"We believe that even the strongest deserve support," said John Ferris, VP of Marketing. "This is about showing up for those who show up for us every single day."

Through partnerships with select clinics, the company will provide complimentary sessions to firefighters using two of its energy-based devices, ExomindTM and Emsculpt Neo®. The effort seeks to support first responders with noninvasive treatments targeting mental fatigue and musculoskeletal recovery.

Firefighters experience disproportionate rates of behavioral health conditions, with national estimates suggesting that as many as 30% face depression, post-traumatic stress disorder, or anxiety. These concerns are often compounded by injury, long shifts, and repeated exposure to traumatic events, yet many remain resistant to seek treatment.

ExomindTM, an FDA-cleared neuromodulation technology, is designed to stimulate brain regions associated with emotional regulation and cognitive function. Early data suggests potential benefits for mood, clarity, and resilience. Emsculpt Neo® applies high-intensity focused electromagnetic energy to improve muscle strength, mobility, and recovery following soft-tissue injury.

Together the treatments are being positioned as a stigma-free option for firefighters who may avoid traditional behavioral health interventions. The initiative underscores growing interest in the role of non-pharmacologic, device-based therapies in addressing well-being.

Participating clinics will be recognized as BTL Cares partners and encouraged to engage local communities in the effort. For more information on how to support or participate in the BTL Cares Firefighter Initiative, visit BodybyBTL.com.
