Bausch Health Launches Fraxel FTX™ at ASLMS 2025

Bausch Health Companies Inc. and its aesthetics division, Solta Medical, have introduced Fraxel FTX™, the latest advancement in laser skin resurfacing, at the American Society for Laser Medicine & Surgery (ASLMS) 2025 Annual Conference in Orlando, FL. The launch marks the beginning of a nationwide rollout to dermatologists, plastic surgeons, and aesthetic practitioners, with plans for global expansion later this year.

Building on the legacy of Fraxel® technology, Fraxel FTX™ is designed to improve the treatment of common skin concerns such as sun damage, wrinkles, pigmentation irregularities, and acne scarring. According to the company, enhancements to the system aim to provide noticeable results after a single treatment session across all skin types.

Key upgrades include a dual-wavelength fractional laser platform combining a 1550 nm erbium-glass laser and a 1927 nm thulium laser, allowing clinicians to treat both superficial and deeper layers of the skin. The device features a redesigned, lighter ergonomic handpiece with integrated cooling to improve patient comfort and reduce operator fatigue. Additional updates include a modernized console, Intelligent Optical Tracking® with AccuTRAC™ for consistent energy delivery, and a refreshed user interface offering customizable treatment settings.
