Allergan Aesthetics Launches Payment Plan Program in Effort to Make Injectables More Affordable
Patients seeking aesthetic treatments and products now have the option to pay over-time. Allergan Aesthetics, an AbbVie company, launched Alle Payment Plans, powered by Cherry, on Thursday.
Patients can use the payment plan for treatments including Botox and the Juvéderm collection of fillers.
Allergan Aesthetics says 2024 market research shows more than 50 million Americans are interested in facial injectables, but only a fraction seek treatment each year. Cost is the biggest barrier. The goal of the payment plan is to make aesthetics more accessible and affordable.
“We are excited to debut flexible payment plans within Alle at no cost to aesthetic practices for Allergan Aesthetics treatments and products, increasing the accessibility and affordability of aesthetics treatments for patients and supporting providers to welcome new patients,” US Aesthetics Senior Vice President Jasson Gilmore said. “Over the last several years, pay over-time solutions hae grown to become a preferred method of payment for millions of Americans from cell phones to clothing. Alle Payment Plans help patients pursue the recommended treatments they want, on terms that work for them.”
Key insights from the payment plan’s pilot program uncovered that 54% of transactions were from patients new to aesthetics or trying a new service.
“This shows that consumers want to pay over-time for the recommended aesthetic treatment they have been considering. Removing cost as a barrier gives them that opportunity,” Gilmore added.
Full availability of the payment plan is expected over the next few months.
