This white paper reviews the active technologies, mechanism of action, and clinical evidence supporting ReActivate RX Serum, a high-performance, medical-grade topical formulation. The serum features a synergistic blend of patented NIMNI™ Technology, Micellar-encapsulated CellRenew-16 peptide, and Nicotinamide Mononucleotide (NMN)—a direct precursor to Nicotinamide Adenine Dinucleotide (NAD⁺). Additionally, it incorporates potent antioxidants, including stabilized vitamin C and copper amino acid complexes. Together, these actives promote visible improvements in skin firmness, texture, and tone by reactivating collagen synthesis, restoring cellular vitality, and improving skin structure.

NIMNI™ Technology

NIMNI™ Technology is a patented collagen support complex designed to supply skin cells with the nutrients required for efficient collagen production. It reactivates fibroblast activity and stimulates signaling pathways involved in collagen gene expression.

This technology is supported by peer-reviewed research published in Connective Tissue Research, titled “Transdermal Delivery of Amino Acids and Antioxidants Enhance Collagen Synthesis: In Vivo and In Vitro Studies.”¹ In this study, a topical blend of 10 essential amino acids and Alpha-lipoic acid significantly enhanced collagen synthesis and deposition, as confirmed through histological staining. Furthermore, a radiolabeled ¹⁴C-proline uptake assay demonstrated statistically significant increases in collagen synthesis when the complete active blend was applied transdermally.¹

Micellular Cellrenew-16

Micellular CellRenew-16 (INCI: Myristoyl Pentapeptide-16) is a lipidated signaling peptide that combines hydrophilic peptide signaling with lipophilic delivery. Structurally, it is a positively charged oligopeptide modified at the carboxyl end with a myristoyl group, a lipidation that enhances both peptide stability and epidermal penetration.

In an independent, 2-week PCR-based gene expression study, Myristoyl Pentapeptide-16 outperformed other bioactives—including exosomes and growth factors—across multiple categories, such as:

  • Hydration protein expression
  • Skin barrier integrity
  • Extracellular matrix (ECM) support genes

To optimize delivery, the peptide is encapsulated in a micellar structure composed of fatty acid esters derived from macadamia nut oil. These micelles form nanoscale vesicles that shield the peptide, increasing its topical bioavailability and facilitating targeted delivery to skin layers where gene expression is activated.

NIMNI™ Technology + Micellular Cellrenew-16

When combined, NIMNI™ Technology and Micellular CellRenew-16 demonstrate synergistic effects on Type I Collagen production. Preliminary in vitro studies showed significantly increased collagen protein expression compared to either technology alone. While the exact biochemical mechanism remains under investigation, early results have led to a new patent application centered on this synergistic pathway (Figure 1).

Nicotinamide Mononucleotide (NMN)

NMN is a direct precursor to NAD⁺, a vital coenzyme involved in cellular energy metabolism, DNA repair, and mitochondrial function. NAD⁺ also acts as a required cofactor for sirtuins, a family of proteins that regulate aging processes, including oxidative stress resistance, inflammation control, and cellular repair.

With age, NAD⁺ levels decline by up to 50%, leading to reduced sirtuin activity and accelerated signs of aging.2 By topically supplementing the skin with NMN, this serum bypasses first-pass metabolism and facilitates localized NAD⁺ biosynthesis, revitalizing skin cells at the source. This results in enhanced repair capacity, resilience to oxidative damage, and a rejuvenated extracellular matrix environment.

Serum Combination: Results

When combined in a single formulation, these three advanced actives form a comprehensive skin renewal system:

NIMNI™ Technology provides essential precursors and cofactors for collagen synthesis

Micellular CellRenew-16 delivers peptide signals to activate genes involved in hydration and structural protein formation

NMN restores NAD⁺ levels to support cellular energy, repair, and resilience

In a clinical biopsy-based evaluation, test subjects showed increased collagen deposition and fibroblast activity in the papillary dermis following ReActivate RX Serum application. These findings confirm that the formulation supports true skin remodeling, rather than superficial hydration alone.³ Lastly, the tone, fine lines and wrinkles, and hyperpigmentation appear to show significant reductions following a 6-week application of ReActivate RX Serum (Figure 2).

Conclusion

ReActivate RX Serum delivers a multi-targeted, scientifically supported solution for skin rejuvenation. Through the integration of collagen stimulation, peptide signaling, and NAD⁺ restoration, this formulation addresses multiple root causes of visible aging. The result is skin that appears firmer, smoother, and more resilient—from the inside out. n
