(Editor’s Note: This is the first in a series of short case reports from different clinicians demonstrating how skilled injectors can utilize dermal filler for natural-looking results, changing the current narrative around what is still a valuable part of the aesthetic clinician’s armamentarium.)
A female patient presented with a desire to subtly improve her appearance. She expressed that she preferred to focus on injectable treatment options for now, and she did not have any reservations about using hyaluronic acid (HA)-based dermal filler.

We performed a simple lip contouring/lower face/jowl softening with a total of two vials total of HA-based filler in one session, using a combination of Restylane Lyft (Restylane), Restylane Refyne (Restylane), Hyperdilute Radiesse (Merz Aesthetics), and Belotero (Merz Aesthetics) to harness the benefits of HA with biostimulation by using each of them in different areas of the face.
We were attempting to accomplish a very natural, elevated look with softening and improvement but not complete correction as the patient did not want that aesthetic. Both clinician and patient were extremely satisfied with the outcome.
