Cosmetic Bootcamp for the CORE Aesthetic Provider, being held November 3-5 at the Four Seasons Hotel Las Vegas, is designed to educate the healthcare providers and support staff who comprise the backbone of an aesthetic practice. According to meeting organizers, along with the increasing demand for cosmetic procedures, there has been a growth in the number of support staff required to run these busy practices. Cosmetic Bootcamp is dedicated to insuring that nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and other support staff have access to the most current innovations in an educational setting that emphasizes, safety, professionalism and a desire to optimize patient outcomes, all under the direct supervision of core aesthetic physicians.
According to the Cosmetic Bootcamp website: “Undeniably the field of aesthetic medicine is growing dramatically and that growth has spawned an influx of non-physician providers in the field. Cosmetic Bootcamp recognizes the need to unify and upgrade the training that is available to these providers. This meeting addresses the specific needs of support staff that interact with patients, technicians that provide services and medical professionals that may treat patients.”
The meeting is meant for:
• PAs, NPs, RNs
• Medical assistants and other medical support staff*
• Physicians who wish to attend with their staff*
* Participants must show that they work in an office where the physician is board certified in one of the core aesthetics fields (dermatology, plastic surgery, otolaryngology or ophthalmology). In order to confirm registration, the Cosmetic Bootcamp requires a note stating: “I certify that I work under the supervision of a board-certified physician in a core aesthetic specialty. If this is not a valid statement I understand that any fees paid will not be returned, I will not be eligible to attend to the course.”
