Does your practice need a lift?

Are you missing out? If you don’t offer non-invasive body contouring, you probably are!

Non-invasive body contouring is in-demand, and interest is expected to increase. The Aesthetic Society reports nearly 377,000 non-invasive contouring procedures in 2018, and analysists predict the market for such procedures will top $220 Million by 2024.

As more and more Americans seek non-invasive contouring procedures, practices that sit idly by risk missing out on the opportunity to grow their practices and build long-term patient relationships.

BTL has the solutions you need.

Patients want to look trim and toned with no downtime. The only device on the market cleared to build muscle, EMSCULPT is the solution for your patients. It’s cleared to treat abs, butts, calves, and arms, making it a workhorse for the busy aesthetic practice.

Plus, only BTL offers Vanquish ME for fat reduction, Exilis Ultra for tightening, and now BTL EMTONE to reduce the appearance of cellulite.

I perform liposuction, the “gold standard” fat removal technique. Why would I use EMSCULPT?

Although liposuction is still regarded by most cosmetic surgeons as the gold standard for fat reduction, it has limitations, especially for patients closer to their ideal weight and BMI. Plus, the liposuction procedure, by definition, addresses fat alone. EMSCULPT is the only treatment shown to induce muscle hypertrophy, providing the toned, sculpted look that liposuction can’t.

For patients who have already undergone liposuction but desire a more toned look, EMSCULPT is the answer. EMSCULPT is completely non-invasive. There is no need for anesthesia.

I have other devices intended to reduce fat. Why would I add EMSCULPT?

Just as liposuction only addresses fat, some energy-based devices are also limited to an effect on adipose tissue. Other devices can tighten skin, but they don’t address muscle. EMSCULPT is different. It targets muscle, so even if a patient has undergone treatment with another device, they can still undergo treatment with EMSCULPT to sculpt and tone.

Recent studies support the benefit of using different devices in a serial manner.

What is EMSCULPT treatment like?

A typical treatment cycle involves a series of 2 treatments per week over 2 weeks, for a total of 4 treatments. Each treatment takes about half an hour. Treatments are painless. There are few limitations on who can receive EMSCULPT treatment.

Each treatment takes about half an hour, and patients can immediately return to routine activities. Patients may feel like they’ve had a strenuous workout immediately after treatment and the following day, but most patients have no significant discomfort or pain.

Where permissible by local regulation, EMSCULPT treatment may be delegated under physician supervision. The 4 visits that each patient makes to the practice to receive treatment offer an opportunity to build a long-term relationship with loyal patients. Savvy practices use that time with the patient to build familiarity with practice offerings, share details about aesthetic services and skincare, and sometimes even provide additional aesthetic treatments.

Who is EMSCULPT appropriate for?

EMSCULPT can be used for a wide range of body types. Patients who are already trim and toned may find that EMSCULPT treatment gives them the boost they need to increase muscle mass and definition.

What sets EMSCULPT apart?

EMSCULPT is the first and only FDA-cleared device now available on the market to stimulate muscles, resulting in growth of new and existing muscle tissue.

EMSCULPT from BTL uses high-frequency electromagnetic energy or HIFEM to target muscles and induce supramaximal contractions. When treatment is applied to the abdomen, for example, the result is similar to doing 20,000 sit-ups in just one 30-minute treatment. Applied to the buttocks for 30 minutes, the HIFEM procedure induces up to 20,000 contractions of the gluteus muscles.

Treatment can be applied to the buttocks for lifting, and to the calves and arms to increase muscle and add tone.

What does treatment do?

By inducing supramaximal contractions EMSCULPT treatment encourages muscle hypertrophy, resulting in a visible increase in muscle mass, as well as toning and lifting.

The result is more muscle in the treatment area and a more trim, defined appearance. The body is comprised of 35% muscle. Whereas other treatments target fat only and do not affect muscle, EMSCULPT is cleared to target muscle specifically.

More than a dozen rigorous studies have been done to document the efficacy and safety of the HIFEM procedure with the EMSCULPT system.

The beneficial effects of EMSCULPT treatment have been documented using objective outcomes measures.

How has this technology been tested?

Results from 14 completed studies document the efficacy and safety of HIFEM technology and the EMSCULPT system. Effects of EMSCULPT treatment have been documented using multiple objective measures, including tape measures, measurement of weight, MRI, CT scans, and ultrasound. Treatment is associated with up to a 16% increase in muscle mass. It’s important to note the similar results were seen across study sites.

How can EMSCULPT fit into my practice?

Whether you already offer body treatments or are just starting out, EMSCULPT will expand the services you offer and increase the number of patients you can treat. EMSCULPT will appeal to any patient looking to enhance muscle—in the abdomen, legs, arms, and/or buttocks.

EMSCULPT may be an option for patients who are not candidates for other body-shaping procedures or who want to tone and sculpt after fat reduction procedures.

EMSCULPT is a safe, accessible, no-downtime alternative to the dangerous surgical butt-lifts that national aesthetic societies are warning against. It’s also a solution for patients seeking non-invasive alternatives to address bat wings.

Unlike other devices, EMSCULPT has no virtual consumable credits.

Is it worth it?

A recent survey found that 88% of women say they are interested in a treatment that could sculpt their body. In the same New Beauty survey, 92% of women said that it was important to feel strong and powerful, while 91% valued looking fit and trim.1

By targeting muscles, EMSCULPT is the only device currently on the market that can build muscle mass and increase tone.

EMSCULPT has an 88% “Worth It” rating at RealSelf.com.2

Satisfaction is high immediately post-treatment and increases with time. Experienced clinicians report satisfaction rate goes up to 80 percent at 1 month, and up to 90 percent at 3 months.
