ASDS ELECTS NEW OFFICERS AND BOARD MEMBERS
The American Society for Dermatologic Surgery (ASDS) announced the election of Tom Rohrer, MD as Vice President as well as new board members during its Annual Meeting in San Diego. The newly elected officials will join President George Hruza, MD and President-Elect Naomi Lawrence, MD, and the board of directors to help lead the organization. Elected to three-year terms on the Board of Directors are: Ashish C. Bhatia, MD of Naperville, IL, Terrence A. Cronin Jr, MD of Melbourne, FL, and Derek H. Jones, MD, of Los Angeles. All three will serve until 2017.
PATIENT-REPORTED OUTCOMES IN SURGERY CONFERENCE
The Plastic Surgery Foundation (PSF) is hosting a one and a half day conference on Patient Reported Outcomes in Surgery. This program includes presentations from patient advocates, payers, device industry representatives and regulators. Each panel will be followed by a discussion. The meeting will conclude with a Mentoring Luncheon for faculty and trainees to solidify the establishment of cross-disciplinary training relationships.
