New ASDS Symposium Aims to Fill Cosmetic Training Gaps Among Residents
The American Society for Dermatologic Surgery (ASDS) is offering a symposium on patient safety and achieving optimal cosmetic outcomes for residents. The 2016 Premier Annual Resident Cosmetic Symposium is slated to take place April 15-17 in Dallas. Co-directed by Boston dermatologic surgeon Thomas E. Rohrer, MD, and Bradenton, FL dermatologist Susan H. Weinkle, MD, the 2016 Cosmetic Symposium aims to help residents strengthen their foundations in the anatomy of beauty, fat-reducing and acne scar injectables, soft-tissue fillers and neuromodulators, peels and cosmeceuticals, vein treatments, laser and energy-based rejuvenation, and body contouring.
The new symposium is just one part of the Society’s efforts to strengthen resident education.
The ASDS Visiting Professor Program allows dermatologic surgeons to share their experience at residency programs at no cost to their institutions.
